zodiack

In honor of all celestial beings, ZODIACK is a themed gathering series full of music, dancing and libations, celebrating the birth of all creatures. From May 2015 through April 2016 we threw a monthly party attributed to the current zodiac sign, delivering an atmospheric experience encompassing its astrological essence. September 2016–2017 we will start a new series of quarterly parties; expect experimental performances, celestial visuals, uninhibited hosts and an array of DJs as we explore a world of hidden talent and gems in NYC’s underground creative realm.

Why We Dance

Why We Dance is a 10-minute short film that celebrates individual movers, contrasting the highly trained with the highly eccentric. • Collaborated closely with modern dancer and choreographer Emily Faulkner on video concept, storyline and storyboards
  • Co-produced pre-production, the weekend-long shoot, and post-production stages of the filmmaking process
  • Co-edited the final product with Emily

Mooning Over Earth

An amalgam of four individual film shorts that each run around 10 minutes in length, the collection can be viewed as individual vignettes or presented as a whole. They are separated thematically by the four elements: Earth, Water, Wind and Fire; each story shares an original creation myth.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Established the overall concept, then worked closely with collaborators on writing each story and detailed storyboards
  • Crafted a budget and fund-raised the full amount on kickstarter.com
  • Organized a team of 15 people in Connecticut to make props, sets, costumes and puppets, and then shoot the films
  • Created and executed a strict schedule to build, shoot and strike over the course of six weekends
  • Edited several hours of footage down to an 18-minute final cut, after several rounds of review with key collaborators
  • Premiered the final product in Manhattan with a viewing and post-screening event
